1. To get a good coverage of power lines over the map area.
    A connected network (more or a less. Not many isolated short lines)
    Because the map is for use in aviation navigation, within a near distance from airports everything is important.
  2. “Tower-based” power lines are most important and can be distinguished in imagery. Also in very “empty” landscapes/areas, if the transmission lines are very prominent, then they are important.

Step I:  Identify the  location of missing lines

Step II:  Put a minimal number of nodes on real locations along the line (i.e. a station/transformer, poles/towers, and subsequently connect the nodes and geometry.
